Highlights:

As Director of Operations, I was accountable for all the operational and administrative services of the College. Direct reports included heads of the following functions; IT, Finance, HR, Academic Registry, Facilities Management, Library Services, Development, Research & Enterprise, External Relations and Royal Holloway International. The College’s expense base was approximately £120 million and there were in excess of 800 Administrative staff

Apart from the day to day running of the functions and management of the budget, I focused principally on:

  • Professionalisation of the management of the functions,
  • Developing strategies to combat the economic downturn,
  • Playing a leading role in the merger process with St George’s, University of London
